Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Norships AS of Norway to deliver the Practical and Theoretical Training in Gas Measurement and Use of Gas Measuring Instruments Course in the Philippines. Norships is the authorized Assessor by Martin Bruusgaard AS for training in the use of gas detection and related systems. The MOU signing was attended by Norships’ Captain Tor Frithjof Boije, Managing Director; Magsaysay Learning’s Alexander Querol, President , and the rest of the MLRI senior management team and pilot class representatives.

Under the agreement, Magsaysay’s trainors will deliver the training in behalf of Norships in the Philippines and Asian region.  The course will familiarize trainees with the Bruusgaard System’s individual instruments and will cover general topics related to onboard gas risks and precautions, solution to enhance quality assurance safety, and the proper usage, maintenance and calibration of the system.  A pilot class attended by participants from Teekay Offshore and Westfal Larsen AS followed shortly.
