Magsaysay People Wins Training Award at 2019 SMART4SEA Awards

Magsaysay People Resources Corporation (MPRC) has been awarded the 2019 SMART4SEA Training Award.

Sponsored by Orpheus Marine Transport Corporation, the award recognized MPRC’s training investments last year and highlighted the inauguration of MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA). MMMA aims at providing students with real-life working environment and knowledge meeting the demands of the changing maritime industry. Through MMMA, maritime industry’s future can be secured with sufficient supply of properly trained officers to keep up with the ever-expanding global fleet and with the continued advancements in on board technology.

In 2017-2018, MPRC invested USD 53M in programs, facilities, and technology for the use of its People to serve the global maritime industry. These investments have contributed to increase in profitability number of manned ships and seafarer employment. The company's training arms include Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc.
