MTC launch New Lifeboat and Davit Facility

Led by Chief Engineer Romeo S. Piccio, Magsaysay Training Center (MTC) performed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) on its new Lifeboat and Davit Facility last September 2, 2015 at MTC Training site in Tanza, Cavite.

Capt. Llonel Capili, MTC Training Manager was also present during the launching together with Capt. Edgar Genargue, Mr. Edwin Medina and Mr. George Ferrer from Carnival Security Corp. Mr. William Cudal was also there with Mr. Danny Trijo, Mr. Desiderio Malabuen and Mr. Abner Sargento to observe the maneuvering of the lifeboat.

Mr. Delfin Supapo, President of Philippine Lifesaving Equipment Inc. which is the supplier of the lifeboat also joined the launching.
 The goal of this project is to ensure that the Personal Survival Technique, part of their Basic Training (BT) program fully complies with the STCW 2010 amendments and International Maritime Organization’s International Life-Saving Appliance Code and to guarantee MTC’s commitment to keep up with the evolving standards of the maritime industry.
