The International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ) piloted the Junior Officer and Junior Engineer Course last January 30-February 3, 2017 at the Magsaysay Training Center in Manila.

The courses were open to IMMAJ/PJMCC-member Junior Deck and Engine Officers, but due to limited number of slots, members were only allowed to endorse one (1) candidate per course. Each course can only accommodate a maximum of twenty four (24) trainees. Course fees and materials were FREE OF CHARGE.

The facilitators who held the Junior Officer Course were CM Alfredo Razon, CM Roel Mataya, Mr. Michael Jumpay, Capt. Enrico Santos, Capt. Alfonso Go and Capt. Gemeniano Ragay. For the Junior Engineer Course, the instructors were CE Marl Jeffone Reyes, CE Ariel Bacani, CE Rolando Ponzaran, Mr. Jun Porquez and Mr. Val Angeles.
